The 1xBet app is an Android package that lets you place sports bets, play casino games, and manage your account without opening a browser. It exists as an APK file, which is the standard format Android uses to distribute and install software outside the Google Play Store. Because betting apps face store policy restrictions in […]
This was one of my impulse buys from Lowe’s. It was in a 6″ pot with just a hint of vine when I bought it. All the leaves were white as snow with minimal flecks of green. I planted this one in a Lechuza self-watering pot with regular potting mix. I water once every 2-3 […]
This is such a gorgeous plant I have two of them. This one was sold to me as Rubra which is the old trade name for Krimson Princes. I didn’t realize this at the time. I just thought it was beautiful so I bought it for $24 from Lowes. This plant is still in the […]
Unbelievable but true story! I’ve been watching these buds form on this plant for weeks. I watched the buds for several more weeks. Then one day I glanced over and they bloomed! I can’t believe my eyes! What lovely little flowers. Not much smell to them but they last quite a while. Previous Post: Hoya […]
I started out with just one small plant I purchased for just a few bucks from Succulents Depot. This is one of those plants that multiplies itself and once it gets started it cannot stop. I made the mistake of propagating leaves, too. Now I have 21 individual crinkle leaf plants. This plant is incredibly […]
Chlorophytum comosum ‘Bonnie’. This is one of those plants, eh? If you have one you have 1,000. The reproduce in the pot. They dangle offshoots in every direction. I try to be careful not to knock the babies off while moving and watering plants but they just drop at random. I can’t throw them away. […]
Plain old ordinary Hoya carnosa is one of those plants that does well any time of year, any place, under just about any conditions in any potting mix. Above is what it looked like April 2022 when I bought it and planted it up in a 4″ pot in regular potting mix with a little […]

A Blog About Hoyas & Other Houseplants This trellising job is not working. Not for me and not for this plant. I purchased this Hoya Publicalyx in a 4″ pot from Pistil’s Nursery in April, 2022. It’s almost been a year and winding the plant around these flexible plastic 13″ trellises is not supporting the […]
A Blog About Hoyas & Other Houseplants I’m so disappointed in this one. It had the softest, fuzziest leaves. I wanted to love this plant. It came out of the box ready to grow. That was back in April 2023. I had it up on a shelf under a grow light. The new leaves started […]
A Blog About Hoyas & Other Houseplants I left these two lovebirds up on a shelf in medium light to twine as they please and they appear to be quite content as shelfmates. They’ve both endured minimal watering and a bit of neglect since I injured my back and it was a struggle to lift […]
New growth on a Hoya vine can look like a peduncle or just new vine. It can be confusing to new Hoya collectors and more experience collectors alike. Learn how to spot the difference. Hoya archboldiana was one of my cuttings purchased from Garden of Hayden mid-April 2023. Since that time it has rooted, grown […]
A Blog About Hoyas & Other Houseplants I purchased Hoya Iris Marie from Steve’s Leaves in October, 2022. She’s grown a bit but has been mostly dormant over the winter. She prefers a spot in front of a West facing window rather than the grow tent. A good video tour of Steve’s Leaves can be […]
